There are times when you have to pause your work in order to launch a certain application or perform other actions, in response to a certain event. Even if it is not difficult, it still disrupts your work. If you can not afford to focus your attention elsewhere, you can define automatic actions and BDV SystemEvents is the right tool for this job. You can use it to configure certain tasks which can be triggered by various events. It takes only a few seconds to set up a task, so you will not lose precious time.

Any Internet connection, regardless of speed, can handle the application's 842 Kb installation kit. The setup wizard will ask for a destination path and nothing else and it will install the software almost instantly.

Tasks are listed on the software's interface, along with additional information, like their status (enabled or disabled), what actions they will perform and under what conditions. You can delete or edit them or create new ones, with the buttons on the right side of the interface.

Creating a new task requires selecting an action and a condition, under separate tabs, on a different window. You can select an action like running a screen saver or an application, shutting down or writing a log, from a drop menu. Depending on what action you select, different options will be displayed beneath the drop menu. You will have to select either a path or a more specific action, from a different drop menu.

Conditions can be selected in a similar manner. You will need to select a certain type of action from a main drop menu, and select a specific one from a different menu. For example, if you select "Application", you can choose two conditions: an application must be running or not. The application itself can be specified by selecting its .exe file. When the action and condition are set, you may tick an option to enable the task and a second one to run it only once.

Pros

The software lets you automate a series of actions and set up certain triggers. The interface is not overloaded with options and it is very easy to use. BDV SystemEvents can be installed almost instantly, so you can start setting up automatic tasks in no time.

Cons

The number of actions and conditions is a bit limited. Your work will go much faster while using BDV SystemEvents. It lets you automate various actions without any difficulties.
